From time of their completion all orders are packaged and shipped within 2-3 business days. Packages are shipped Priority Mail and per the USPS are estimated to arrive within 3-7 business days. Depending on the outside temperate we include ice packs to avoid melting. Shipping rates are a flat $20.00
At Sappho Chocolates we take pride in our product and our customer service! We pledge that all orders will be processed as quickly as possible and will ship in 2-3 business days. All orders are shipped via USPS priority mail.
Sappho Chocolates ships products only to locations within the continental United States. We do not ship internationally or to Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands or Canada. Delays at borders will cause melting and unhappy customers.
If we are shipping to a business, we ship Monday thru Wednesday, so that the package will arrive no later than Friday. If your order is being delivered to a residence, we can ship Monday thru Thursday, making the package arrive no later than Saturday.
Our goal is to ensure that your chocolates will spend as little time in transit as possible, while keeping shipping costs within reason. If you have a specific date you want your package to arrive include a note with your order and we’ll do our best to see it arrives on that date.
Some holidays are busier than others! Please be aware that it may take additional time to prepare your order. When placing an order for a holiday please observe the following deadlines to ensure prompt delivery before the Holidays.
New Year’s Day – For delivery on or before Dec. 31st: USPS Priority Mail: Order by midnight of Dec. 23rd.
Valentine’s Day – For delivery on or before Feb. 14th: USPS Priority Mail: Order by midnight of Feb. 1st.
Thanksgiving – For delivery on or before Nov. 27th: USPS Priority Mail: Order by midnight of Nov. 17th.
Hanukkah – For delivery on or before Dec. 1st: USPS Priority Mail: Order by midnight of Nov. 25th.
Christmas – For delivery on or before Dec. 24th: USPS Priority Mail: Order by midnight of Dec. 14th
In the event of extreme weather, such as snowstorms or hurricanes, delivery may take longer than expected. Please plan accordingly.
Our return policy is very simple. When you order from Sappho Chocolates, you can be sure that your chocolates will arrive in good condition. Seasonal temperatures require extra care so we carefully package our chocolates with ice packs when the average temperature is above 75 degrees F. If your order does not meet your expectations, please contact us for a prompt and courteous resolution. Your satisfaction is our goal!

Risk of Loss
All items purchased from Sappho Chocolates are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This basically means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
